Mahdi Surosh
Raahat Project Manager , U.S. Clinical Operations

Mahdi Surosh is the project manager for the Raahat project in Minnesota, serving Afghan refugees residing in the state. Since 2015, he has held various positions in program and grant management, development, research, strategic communications and project evaluation. Mahdi has a proven track record of leadership in nonprofit and public service sectors, both in Afghanistan and the United States. He has worked with organizations such as Freedom House, the American Institute of Afghanistan Studies, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee and Climate Resilience International. A Fulbright Scholar, Mahdi holds a Masters of Public Policy degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications from Kabul University. Since 2012, he has been actively engaged in civil society, human rights activism and media.
