Biden's Guantánamo Legacy 'One Step Forward, Several Steps Backwards'

Scott Roehm, director of global policy and advocacy, was quoted by reporter Sacha Pfeiffer, who comments on plea deals that were made for detainees accused in the 9/11 attacks, but which were revoked by Secretary of Defense Austin two days later. She notes that Scott has stated these cases should be settled with plea deals, writing, “If a federal appeals court allows the contested deals to proceed, Roehm thinks Trump could not legally stop the process.” Scott comments that it is possible that the Trump administration, nevertheless, could try.
