New Tactics Project Leader

Kate Kelsch is the New Tactics in Human Rights Leader at CVT. She is responsible for providing leadership and vision, building partnerships with organizations around the world, fundraising, and managing the project. She brings over 15 years of experience working in a variety of sectors including nonprofit, government, and business. Prior to rejoining CVT in 2011, Kate also served as New Tactics project manager from 1999 through 2005.  In addition to her human rights work at CVT, Kate worked as the Senior Community Leadership Manager at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation and a Senior Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.  Kate holds a B.A. in International Relations and Economics from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Kate has also been a McKnight Salzburg Fellow, a German Marshall Fund Marshall Memorial Fellow, and a University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute Policy Fellow.
