Center for Victims of Torture Welcomes Wendy Marcano as Chief Financial Officer

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Center for Victims of TortureTM (CVT) today announced the addition of Wendy Marcano as chief financial officer.

Since 2013, Marcano served as the vice president of finance at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities, where she initiated financial benchmarks and implemented forecasting to better predict results. Previously, she was the operations & systems innovation director for three years at The Bridge for Youth.  Marcano also served as a finance consultant for local organizations and businesses, including Minneapolis Urban League, Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, Best Buy Corporation, Weber Shandwick and Deluxe Corporation. Marcano has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS from Audrey Cohen College/Metropolitan College of NY. She also holds certification as a Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) and is a member of the Nonprofit Finance Group of the Twin Cities.
